#YesWeCan in NYC | SensNation

The origins of the “Yes We Can”, aka #YesWeCan, Sens fan slogan and/or rallying cry is thoroughly explained in my April 2nd article. The premise being that Obama’s “Yes We Can” slogan would be an excellent choice for the Sens 2012 playoff campaign for two main reasons: (1) if it catches on it might infuriate Bruins goalie Tim Thomas, and (2) because it seems like an appropriately optimistic and hopeful slogan for this overachieving Sens team (ie. despite the “experts” YES WE CAN!!).

Problem – the Sens ended the year on a three game losing steak, fell to 8th spot on the last day of the season, and will not be playing Boston in the playoffs… yet. Nonetheless, I assert that #YesWeCan remains the appropriate fan-driven slogan of choice. First, reason number 2 above still fully applies. Second, once the Sens are done embarrassing the Rangers in round one they are still likely to face Obama-government-hating-rage-machine Tim Thomas in round 2. Third, the slogan is too damn fun to give up.

In particular, we’ve been cranking out #YesWeCan Sens themed posters and avatars, the later of which we encourage all our readers and/or followers to use on Twitter, Facebook, forums, LinkedIn, Pinetrest (where did this come from anyways?), or wherever else an avatar may be necessary. Which brings me to the final purpose of this mini-post, which is to provide a consolidated location for you to find all the Sens #YesWeCan posters and avatars created to date. Enjoy!
